In 2021 AMSA received funding from Black Dog Ride to help us develop and roll out our Shed Mates initiative. This shedder wellbeing initiative provides Men’s Sheds with a framework that includes resources and training to either initiate and/or continue the ongoing support for member wellbeing, the strategies have been gathered from Sheds across Australia that focus on the improved mental wellbeing and health outcomes of their members.
We have teamed up with Buderim Men’s Shed to host a Shedder’s Wellbeing Workshop, which will include a Shed Mates in Action workshop and a wellbeing update from Queensland Men’s Shed Association Regional Coordinator, Frank Pearce.
The program is a great opportunity to get you actively thinking about how your Men’s Shed supports members’ wellbeing, as well as networking with other Shed members from your region. We encourage your Shed to send a few members along.
The workshop is low cost, thanks to our partner Black Dog Ride. Registration is $15pp or Group of 4 for $50. Participants will receive barista coffee, morning tea and lunch, and workshop materials. To register, visit https://tix.yt/6KP
