The saw stop is making a name for itself in Men’s Sheds as a real ‘finger saver’
The Shed Wireless team decided to find out more about how it works by interviewing Mark Thomas from Carbatech tools.
Using a frankfurt to replicate a finger, the demonstration shows just a tiny nick in the skin.
Mark explains that the automatic shut-off sees the blade retract in about five thousandths of a second.
‘It’s 10 times faster than an airbag,’ he tells Marty Leist from the Australian Men’s Shed Association.
You can hear the full interview in Episode 4 (season 3) of The Shed Wireless podcast.
