About our shed
About Us
We’re a small shed with a diverse membership. We enjoy our weekly social gatherings and monthly dinners. There is an activities room that can
comfortably seat up to 50 people dining, with piano, dart-board, ping pong table and a pool table. We invite other compatible community groups to share this area.
For catering there is a reasonable kitchen that we are seeking approval to refurbish as a licenced cooking area to enable better teaching/training capability and greater
use by other community groups. We invite guest speakers and run information sessions. We will be joining the Local Council organised male-specific wellness
program to be conducted for Men’s Sheds. We have a unique collection of rainforest timbers for use in our compact, well equipped workshop.
Fundraising is through grants, donations and raffles at the local pub.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
