About Us
The TWEED HEADS COMMUNITY MEN'S SHED Inc. commenced on June 20, 2012 to become in 2015 a fully working shed of 273 Sq. Metres floor space, consisting of Workshop (Woodwork, Metalwork and Store), Computer training room, Social room and Office. The aims of the shed are to advance the health and well-being of our members by providing a safe and happy environment, where skilled and unskilled men can, in the company of other men; pursue hobbies, pastimes and interests, learn new skills, practice and pass on old skills, learn about their own and other men's health and well-being, by their efforts, contribute to their families, their friends, the Shed and their community, mentor younger men.
The Shed is OPEN on Mondays to Thursdays, from 9am to 12 noon. There are many projects happening, so come in and say hello, you will be sure to find a niche. Morning Tea is always at 10am, where everyone downs what they are doing for time together. Lunch is provided on Tuesdays for those who need it at a small fee at 12 noon.
Shed Activities
Wood & Metal Workshop, Computer Access & Training, Table/Board Games & Bus outings.
The THCMS is licenced by the Tweed Shire Council to Manage the Tweed Markets, held every Sunday at Recreation Street Park beside the Shed from 7am to 1pm. The Market Manager's Mobile Phone: 0401 018 713 This Market is to showcase produce from local farmers, fruit and vegetable growers and the producers of arts and crafts. This is another example of the Men's Shed members supporting a great community asset.
Our social activities recently included a Christmas dinner, mostly paid for by the raffles held within the shed. An attendance of 60 or more members and partners, enjoyed each others company and a great meal together, thanks to the Social Coordinators.
Prospective members are welcome to come any day Monday to Thursday between 9am and 12 noon, and take a look, ask questions and have a cuppa.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
