About our shed
About Us
We are a small community located within the hinterland southwest of Gladstone QLD. Several years ago, we transitioned from being a progress association to being a community shed as this was more relevant to what we do and aim to provide for the community our older and our younger members. Two years ago, we were given a work shed by a local company and we have been working toward having this built which will serve as our workshop. We have council approvals now and have the earthworks complete to commence the excavation for the shed footings. Looking forward to the concrete being done and the erection of the shed which we hope will happen early 2023.
We have 18 financial members this year but when we have a day or event it is nothing for 60 – 100 or more to be along.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
