About our shed
About Us
TMS has been operating since 2012 and has had a fluctuating membership in this small rural town. We make small items to be sold in the local craft shop and undertake projects for local people as required. Projects include repairing garden seats, making school benches and the like.
We have recently secured the lease on an ideal shed on the edge of town but it has no amenities and we are presently working on securing grants for this improvement.
The major benefit of this shed is that it provides a venue for local guys to meet with like minded locals for a cuppa and a chat. The nearest alternative is in Wagga Wagga which is almost a big commercial enterprise and located 45 kms away.
Shed Activities
Woodwork, metalwork, welding, general house maintenance and repairs.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
