Shed Activities
Men's interests and needs drive our Shed.
Individual and group activities make use of the Shed facilities and equipment.
A newly constructed workshop funded by Rotary Club of Redcliffe City (& supplemented by a Commonwealth Grant) provides ample space and equipment for skill development, woodworking and metal working projects.
Another building on-site leased from Moreton Bay Regional Council provides a Recreational Area containing a fully equipped kitchen, bar, library, computer terminals, games room and office.
In addition to the workshop activities include:
* Chatting over Smoko (often includes pies, pasties and scones)
* Snooker
* Playing Cards
* Reading in the library
* Internet Access
* Cooking classes (sometimes)
* Men's Health information
* Computer controlled laser cutting

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
