About our shed

About Us

Nerang Men's Shed is a dedicated, friendly and welcoming meeting place where men can come together.

It's a place where men can share their skills and knowledge with others, learn new skills or redevelop old skills.

Good health is based on many factors including feeling good about yourself, being productive and valuable to your community, connecting to friends and maintaining an active body and an active mind. Becoming a member of the Nerang Men’s Shed provides a safe and busy environment where you can find many of these things. Also, importantly, there's no pressure. Men can just come and have a chat and a cuppa if that's all they’re looking for.

Shed Activities

We have a full up metalwork shed and a Woodwork shed. We are very lucky that a local boat builder supplies us with lots of quality timber. So, no shortage of materials. Members do jobs for themselves and family from breadboards to refurbishing campervans. We also do boutique contacts for local organisations such as raffle barrels park signage and many other things.

Watch — More than just a shed

The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.

AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
