About our shed
About Us
Mosman Men’s Shed is a safe and happy environment where men are welcome to work a project of their choice in their own time, all in a spirit of mateship.
Not all Sheds are the same. At Mosman Men’s Shed you’ll find members fixing “stuff”, working on their personal projects or assisting to build something to raise funds or perhaps support a community organisation or even Taronga Zoo.
Instruction on tool usage and processes is available and whatever skills and experience members bring to the Shed are readily shared within the membership.
Safety of members is of utmost importance, so access to The Shed equipment is available after completing an induction and supervised competency checklist, plus there is a voluntary Supervisor on duty whenever The Shed is open.
Our kitchen is complete and fully functional, where lunch and snacks can be prepared by any budding ‘chefs’.
The Mosman Men’s Shed prides itself on providing a safe and congenial learning environment for members, and, judging from feedback received, we are achieving that objective.
The Mosman Men’s Shed provides you with the opportunity to be a useful contributor to the Mosman community, while learning and sharing new skills, making new friends and networking with other men of an infinite variety of backgrounds and experiences.
You will always learn something new at The Shed.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
