About Us
The Shed commenced in 2014 with 15 members and has grown to 84 members (2026).
The Shed is auspice by Footprints Erina, who also run an Early Learning Centre, on the Baptist Church (auspice body) owned grounds. The Shed environs include two separate Sheds, an Al-fresco eating area and a kiosk.
Other than the activities mentioned below, our Shed run community programs including
Kids Shed, where children from the ages of 8 – 12 are mentored by our members, creating projects for themselves, their family, friends and the community. The Central Coast Sports Academy also sends high school age students to learn woodworking and metal working skills. Currently a Duke of Edinburgh student is attending the Shed. Community projects include the construction of a large number of timber toys for local
cancer clinics and hospital wards for the families of their patients in palliative care.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
