About our shed
About Us
Welcome to C.Y. O'Connor Men's Shed. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and safe place for everyone. Our shed is your shed and members are welcome to come for a tinker, chat or to work on a project.
The Men's Shed is a place to meet new people, make new friends and be connected with our community. And when the time comes to take a break from your project, enjoy our recreation area complete with kitchenette, tables, chairs, loung area, TV and pool table.
New members will be inducted into the the Men's Shed and shown how to safely operate all of the machinery. Members will learn how to get the best out of a machine and materials. The Men's Shed is open to all genders and those aged over 18 years.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
