Audika and AMSA have formed a partnership to support the hearing health of Shedders, with an initial pilot across NSW, Victoria and South Australia.
Good hearing helps us stay connected with our mates, families and communities. It also helps us stay safe when working with tools, machinery and equipment around the shed.
As part of this partnership, Audika is offering Men’s Shed members and their immediate families access to a range of hearing health services and exclusive benefits.
Hearing Health Activation Days at your shed
Audika can bring a qualified hearing healthcare professional to your local Men’s Shed for a dedicated Hearing Health Activation Day.
These morning sessions can include:

✅ Free ear wax checks (where clinically appropriate)
✅ Free ear impressions for customised noise protection plugs
✅ Practical advice on protecting your hearing in and around the shed
✅ A short talk on hearing health, staying connected, and the role hearing plays in overall wellbeing
Hearing Health Activation Days are available where there is interest from 10 or more Shedders and/or their immediate family members.

Customised noise protection plugs
Many shed activities expose members to ongoing noise from power tools, machinery and equipment.
Audika clinicians can take professional ear impressions and arrange customised noise protection plugs designed specifically for your ears, helping you protect your hearing without compromising comfort.

The Hearing Health Days initial pilot is open to sheds in NSW, VIC and SA September until January 31, 2027. Free hearing health checks are available to adults 26 and over. Custom noise protection plugs are available for purchase after free ear impressions. 20% off hearing aids(s) in the optimal and premium ranges for purchases before 31st March 2027. Discount is applied on Audika’s standard list price prior to any eligible health fund benefits and government subsidies. ‘Immediate family’ refers to parents, spouse/ partner, children, siblings, grandparents and in-laws.
