Garage Sale Trail 2026 is almost upon us. Australia’s biggest second-hand treasure hunt is running over the weekends of November 7-8 and 14-15, and it’s the perfect time to clear out your shed and make some cash!
For more than 10 years, Garage Sale Trail and Men’s Sheds across Australia have shared a common goal to keep valuable things in use and out of landfill.
While sheds have been busy repairing, restoring, and repurposing, Garage Sale Trail has been encouraging Australians to buy and sell secondhand.
Why get involved?
Last year, 35 Men’s Sheds participated in the Garage Sale Trail. They told us it’s a brilliant way to:
- Raise funds for shed activities and projects, with community groups earning an average of $1,325. You keep 100% of the proceeds.
- Find new homes for surplus tools, materials and completed projects.
- Attract new members and volunteers.
- Generate media and community awareness about their shed.
How it works
Host a second-hand sale on one or more of the event days selling surplus tools, refurbished items, handmade projects or donated goods.
Garage Sale Trail will support you with a free listing on their map and ready-made promotional materials to help you spread the word.
