Ian trained as an Industrial Arts teacher, with later roles as Head Teacher and High School Deputy Principal. He uses the skills and knowledge developed over many years to embrace the challenges of building a strong and responsive men’s shed movement. As a shedder, his favourite times are when he is with mates working on shed projects. As the Blayney Men’s Shed president since 2008, Ian has overseen the planning and building of their own shed as well as writing constitutions, shed rules, shed and tool safety, grants, and ACNC registration as a charity with DGR status.
