About Us
The Tarago District Men's Shed is located in the township of Tarago, having relocated from temporary accommodation at the local Showground some years ago. The construction of the current shed was funded through a grant from the Veolia Mulwarree Trust. This Trust provided continued support for the shed through grants and donations.
Members undertke individual projects at the shed or just come along for a cuppa and a chat. We undertake some community activities in conjunction with other local community groups and also support the local Women's Shed through training in the use of some tools and equipment. The Tarago Area Women's Shed was established in January 2022, and occupies temporary accommodation at the Showground.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
