About our shed
About Us
Our shed is located in buildings that were formerly part of the local school. We have three buildings and a shipping container. One of our buildings is well-equipped with large woodworking equipment including a jointer, band saw, drop saw, table saw, thicknesser, table and disc sanders, drill press,
together with a collection of hand and smaller power tools. One of the other sheds and the shipping container are mostly used for storage of timber and other consumables. We also have a kitchen and small meeting room that can be used for craft and other activities.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
