About our shed
About Us
Each Tuesday morning from 9.30am to 11.30am we meet socially in the Bellevue Baptist Church Hall. At least once a month we have a Guest Speaker and regularly there are visits to places of interest around Perth. These have included HMAS Stirling, ALCOA, SAS Historical Collection, Yarloop Steam Museum, Aviation Museum, etc. Also in operation is a very active music – “The Rockin’ Shedders”. This is a great place for social chat with around 45 other guys while enjoying a cuppa.
We now have an operating shed with wood and metal working equipment, which members can use on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8.30am to 11.30am. This workshop enables members to put their already known skills to work or learn new ones. Also, the Art Classes are conducted at the workshops.
All levels of skill are encouraged to attend and to contribute in ways that suit each participant

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
