About Us
Melton Council's Men's Sheds are located in Taylors Hill and Melton and provide opportunities for 'hands on' practical activities where men can work on projects with other men, in an informal and relaxed setting.
The Melton Men’s Shed is a place for men to come together, to capture and share their skills and experiences. It’s a place to build on the health and well being of men. A place of creativity, of teamwork and for celebrating community spirit. Our Shed is for blokes aged 25 years and over, though we realise that Men’s Sheds traditionally attract many older men, particularly those in or close to retirement. We’re keen to involve men who have particular skills and who’d gladly help teach others and we’re equally keen to have blokes involved who want to learn from others. Or maybe you just want to come along for a cuppa and a chat?

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
