About our shed
About Us
Our mission: To create a safe and comfortable place where men can come to use and to share their skills and knowledge, enhance their health and well being and make a rewarding contribution to their community through their activities.
Our Shed commenced activities in 2012. From one man's idea sprang a small group of men meeting in an old timber garage. The group has since moved to a small building with a fabulous outlook on the shores of Culburra's Lake Wollumboola. Membership has grown steadily in the years since.
Shed Activities
At Culburra Beach Orient Point Men's Shed we engage in a diverse range of activities including: many forms of woodwork; plywood and fibreglass boat building; wood turning; making pen & pencil sets; furniture restoration; toy making; picture framing;
We also undertake a range of community projects, organize visits by guest speakers to inform our members on relevant topics and we engage in a number of social activities throughout the year.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
