About our shed
About Us
The Adelaide Community Bicycle Workshop operates as a community bicycle workshop co-operative dedicated to the recycling of bicycles.
That we help others to become more self reliant and confident with maintaining their own bicycles in basic tasks such as:
- Replacing a tube.
- Undertaking a basic safety check of your bicycle to identify problems.
- Simple steps to maintain your bicycle.
Our approach in assisting others to become better able to maintain and repair their own bicycles is based on the belief that learning to become more self sufficient (and to assist others) is time well spent.

Positive impacts
The Australian Men’s Shed Association (AMSA) is the national service provider supporting more than 1,200 Men’s, Women’s and Community Sheds and is recognised as one of Australia’s largest male-based community development organisations.
AMSA was established in 2007 by a collection of Australian independent community-based Men’s Sheds to represent, support and promote the Men’s Shed movement. It was founded on the principle of sharing information between sheds and those communities wishing to establish and operate a Men’s Shed. It acts as a central hub for information exchange.
