Men’s Shed Week is an annual event that aims to raise community awareness, knowledge and interest in Men’s & Community Sheds around the country. We celebrate the week following Father’s Day each year. In 2025, Men’s Shed Week will be held from Monday 8 September to Saturday 13 September.
Men’s Sheds are vital community investments delivering programs and activities that foster community spirit and contribute to building a more inclusive Australia. Men’s Sheds not only play important roles in the overall improvement of health and wellbeing but also positively engaging within their community for the benefit of their community.
This year’s theme is “Building Healthy Communities”.
In 2025, we shine a spotlight on the theme “Building Healthy Communities” to recognise the practical, social and wellbeing benefits Men’s & Community Sheds bring to men, their families and the wider community.
Throughout the week, Men’s Sheds across the country are encouraged to open their doors, share their stories and celebrate the power of connection, purpose and community – with a particular focus on inviting local, state and federal government representatives to join the celebrations.
“Men’s Shed Week is an opportunity to honour the grassroots contributions of shedders, raise awareness of the Men’s Shed movement, and invite more Australians to get involved whether that be by joining, supporting or simply learning more,” said AMSA Executive Officer David Helmers.
