Member Services
AMSA services are provided freely to registered and non registered sheds, Membership to the Association is FREE for all services excluding membership that includes our discounted Group Public Liability Insurance Scheme. Sheds wishing to join the Public Liability Group policy MUST be registered with the AMSA, and MUST be incorporated.
AMSA is a charitable not-for-profit association and is registered as a Deductible Gift Recipient. AMSA is the peak body representing Mens Sheds in Australia providing free practical support and assistance. With over 650 Mens Sheds registered AMSA is now the largest Association in Australia focussed on the wellbeing and health of men through community development. By being registered with AMSA you sheds will become a part of our well recognised network committed to improving the wellbeing and health of men while contributing to your community, enriching your ability to be recognised by all levels of government authorities and corporations.
The AMSA team consists of a dedicated group of people, professionally employed personnel as well as a huge volunteer network of experiences “shedders” recognised world wide as the most qualified and experienced both academically and practically in the mens shed environment.
The Australian Mens Shed Association is federally funded to provide practical support to Mens Sheds, this enables AMSA to deliver a wide rang of free services including:

Free advise and support on setting up and managing your shed via our free call 1300 550 009 support line

Access to support from Professional staff (Marketing, Community Engagement, OH&S etc)

The “Setting up a Men’s Shed” manual (currently being updated)

AMSA newsletters (submit your shed story and photos, we would love the opportunity to add to our newsletter)

Use of the AMSA logo

SMART Program, a Shed administrative tool (CD format), this has been especially developed for Mens Sheds to assist with day to day administration, membership management and risk management, ongoing upgrades will be supplied

Offers of materials and other goods and services that are offered to AMSA. Usually this will be donations of timber and other supplies.

AMSA aims to support your shed through every stage of development.
Although AMSA Welcomes your shed to register and to be a part of our network, and registration is free; your shed does not have to be registered to receive our services free of charge.
Registration does enable us to put your details on our website, keep you up to date with all shed events through the email and newsletters and enables us to send your shed free programs and other services as they are developed.
