Aims of AMSA
The objects of the Association are:

To implement a National compliance standard for Men’s Sheds.

To maintain a register of sheds and membership register for state Branches.

To provide practical support for existing sheds and assistance in the development of new sheds.

Provide insurance services specifically tailored to the shed environment including Public and Product liability, contents and building Insurance at affordable rates.

To provide usable shed specific OH&S, Risk Management systems and training support.

To represent all Men's Sheds and their members in a fair and unbiased manner.

To publicize and promote the Men's Shed concept.

To act as a collective body to source commercial sponsorship and secure Government commitment for the ongoing support of Men’s Sheds.

To organize and conduct the National Conference on a bi-yearly basis.

To promote Men’s health programs within sheds.

To encourage Social inclusion by assisting communities to develop sheds and foster sheds in a self-sustaining capacity.

To highlight the need for meaningful activities to be available for males within their communities.

Engaging relevant bodies to achieve the purpose and outcomes of the broader shed community.

To maintain communications between members through the National Newsletter and website.

Identify and nurture innovative ideas and activities into the Shedenvironment.

To promote and develop Activities for Men within communities

The Association will not have any direct control or responsibility for any individual "Shed".
